Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Long Wyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Page has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Long Wyatt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Page!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Page moves into the clinch.
Wyatt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Page walks away with a smile on his face. Wyatt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Page clinches up against the cage.
Page scores with a knee to the head.
Page is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Page swings wildly with an uppercut but Wyatt uses good head movement to avoid it.
Page with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Page throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wyatt blocks it with crossed arms.
Wyatt tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Page gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wyatt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Long Wyatt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wyatt is trying to drag Page to the mat but Page just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Knees in the clinch landing for Page.
Page unloads a knee to the mid-section. Wyatt lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Wyatt has hold of one of Page's legs. Page is fighting the takedown attempt but Wyatt gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Wyatt is standing up over Page. Page looks to escape but Wyatt dives into side control.

Wyatt looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Page is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Wyatt has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Wyatt moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Page really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wyatt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wyatt lands a nice forearm strike.
Page is trying to buck Wyatt off.
Check out the look on Wyatt's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Wyatt slows the pace down.

Wyatt wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Page, who protects the arm well.

Wyatt decides to stand back up.

Page gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Page connects with a knee to the head.
Wyatt tries a body shot but Page blocks it.

Wyatt manages to pull guard.
Page wants to stand but Wyatt is controlling his posture from full guard.
Page wants to stand and escape but instead Wyatt has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


That's four minutes gone in the round.
Page can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wyatt controls the pace.
Page wants to get back to his feet but Wyatt passes into half guard.
Wyatt stops Page from getting back to his feet.
Page looks winded!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Wyatt decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Page pushes Wyatt up against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Long Wyatt will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Page manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Wyatt keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Wyatt tries to pull guard but Page holds him up against the cage and eventually Wyatt drops back down to his feet.

Page lands a knee to the head.
Page tries a knee to the head but Wyatt blocks it.
Page misses with a short punch on the inside.
Wyatt is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Page using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wyatt has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Page tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Michael Page seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Wyatt is working for takedown but Page is calmly controlling the position for now.

Page has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wyatt is proving hard to escape from.
Wyatt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Michael Page showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Page clinches up with Wyatt and pushes him back against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Wyatt.

Wyatt jumps guard but Page turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Wyatt gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Page regains guard.

Page has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Wyatt is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Wyatt fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Page throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Wyatt jumps guard but Page turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Page digs a right hand into Wyatt's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Wyatt's gas tank.

Michael Page comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Page has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
