Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adam Breneman!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Proctor stuffs the takedown.
Proctor looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Breneman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Proctor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Nice straight punches there by Breneman. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Breneman.
Breneman has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Proctor is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Proctor takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Breneman lands with a nice combination. Proctor backs away looking to recover.
Breneman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Breneman goes for a double leg but Proctor avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Proctor continues to drive forward.
Breneman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Proctor tries to avoid it but Breneman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Proctor to the ground. Proctor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Breneman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Breneman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Proctor defends well and Breneman ends up having to push Proctor into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Breneman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Proctor swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Proctor keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Proctor counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Proctor counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Breneman out cold! What a finish! Proctor is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
