Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noob Saibot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noob Saibot could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jeremy Sullivan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Noob Saibot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Sullivan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan blocks the body kick.
Sullivan is looking to clinch but Saibot is avoiding it.
Sullivan has a takedown stuffed.
Saibot throws a good cross that connects.


It looks like Jeremy Sullivan has been cut.
Sullivan tries to move into range but Saibot moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Sullivan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sullivan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Sullivan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Sullivan is looking to stall here but Saibot recovers full guard.
Sullivan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sullivan throws a big elbow that misses.
Saibot is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sullivan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Saibot is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and Saibot counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Saibot moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Saibot is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sullivan.
Saibot looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Noob Saibot is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sullivan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Saibot keeps the fight on the outside.
Sullivan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Noob Saibot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Sullivan.

That has opened up Jeremy Sullivan's cut even more.
Sullivan takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jeremy Sullivan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sullivan moves away from the strike by Saibot.

and Sullivan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Sullivan trying to control the position from guard on top but Saibot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sullivan distracts Saibot with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sullivan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Saibot keeping moving, preventing Sullivan from controlling successfully.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Saibot keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A counter left hand to the body from Saibot misses its target.
Sullivan has his takedown stuffed
and Saibot counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sullivan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sullivan clobbers Saibot with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sullivan. Saibot does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sullivan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Saibot was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saibot throws a hook but Sullivan avoids it easily.
Saibot lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Sullivan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saibot swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sullivan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Sullivan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Saibot appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Noob Saibot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Sullivan.

Saibot throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Sullivan feints the counter takedown.

Sullivan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sullivan lands with a right to the head.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Saibot throws a punch but it's blocked by Sullivan.
Sullivan scores with a hook to the body.

Saibot can't find room to land a body shot as Sullivan controls the action.
Saibot presses Sullivan against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Sullivan blocks an uppercut.

Saibot manages to break the clinch.
Saibot avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Saibot fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sullivan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Saibot slaps away a takedown attempt from Sullivan, before circling back to the center of the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sullivan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Saibot stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Saibot wants it to stay on the feet.
Saibot appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Saibot misses with an uppercut.
Sullivan shoots in and drives through. Saibot sprawls well.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sullivan is defended easily by Saibot.

Sullivan has managed to clinch.

Saibot's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Saibot uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sullivan.

and Saibot counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Saibot throws a sloppy head kick and Sullivan moves out of range easily.

and Saibot counters with a nice uppercut.


The cut above Jeremy Sullivan's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

and Saibot counters with an inside leg kick.
Sullivan is breathing heavily.
Sullivan darts in trying to clinch
and Saibot counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


Sullivan is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Saibot looks for the body kick but Sullivan saw that one coming.
Sullivan has his takedown stuffed

and Saibot counters with a nice right hand that sends Sullivan toppling to the canvas! Sullivan scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Saibot finish him?!
Sullivan is still on wobbly legs! Can Saibot finish him?
Sullivan misses with a takedown
and Saibot counters with a nice leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Noob Saibot dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Jeremy Sullivan's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Saibot pushes Sullivan away with a front kick.
Sullivan seems to have recovered his senses.
Noob Saibot is winning the standup battle so far.
Saibot thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Sullivan if he has to take too many more of those.
Good exchange - Saibot coming out on top.
Saibot lands with a kick to the temple. Sullivan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Saibot lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Sullivan head around and knocks him out cold! Saibot hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Noob Saibot!
A very excited looking Noob Saibot made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
