Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wayne Kerr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Petey Tarfel!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Tarfel shoots for a takedown but Kerr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tarfel shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kerr as he jumps to the side.
Kerr thows a left - swing and a miss!

and Tarfel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kerr pulls Tarfel in to control the position.

Tarfel avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tarfel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kerr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nice sprawl there from Kerr as Tarfel shoots in.
Kerr fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tarfel.
Kerr lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kerr connects with a leg kick. Tarfel looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Kerr lands a really nice looking cross but Tarfel seems unphased.

Tarfel walks into a left hand.
Wayne Kerr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tarfel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kerr's guard.
Kerr pulls Tarfel in close to his closed guard and prevents Tarfel from doing any damage or advancing position.
Kerr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kerr tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tarfel knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kerr wants to take a breather but Tarfel is having none of it.

Tarfel is staying active underneath Kerr, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Petey Tarfel has got the better of the ground game so far.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Tarfel cracks Kerr with an open hand slap.
Kerr scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Kerr moves in looking to clinch but Tarfel pushes him off.
Tarfel takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kerr lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tarfel has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tarfel and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kerr.
Tarfel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wayne Kerr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Petey Tarfel.

Kerr lands a jab-cross combination.
Tarfel takes a swing at Kerr's ribcage but misses.
Kerr uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tarfel.
Kerr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tarfel sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kerr cracks a nice hook into Tarfel's ribs.
Tarfel motions for Kerr to come forward. Tarfel throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Tarfel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kerr as he avoids it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kerr jabs Tarfel right on the nose. Tarfel blinks but takes it well.

Tarfel shoots in for a takedown but Kerr shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Tarfel gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Tarfel ducks right into an uppercut from Kerr.

Kerr is looking to score with low kicks.
Tarfel throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
It looks like Kerr has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Tarfel checks a leg kick nicely.
Tarfel misses with a takedown attempt - Kerr sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tarfel shoots for a double leg takedown but Kerr sprawls well. He's pushed Tarfel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kerr throws a looping overhand right but Tarfel ducks down to avoid it.
Tarfel wants to counter the offense by Kerr and move into the clinch position.

Kerr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tarfel can do to turn this around?

Tarfel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kerr defends well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Tarfel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kerr.
Tarfel takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Tarfel ducks under a wild hook from Kerr.
Tarfel avoids a kick to the body.
Tarfel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kerr tries to avoid it but Tarfel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kerr to the ground. Kerr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tarfel.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tarfel dives in and grabs Kerr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kerr pushes down on Tarfel's head and hops out.
Tarfel takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kerr scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Wayne Kerr showed his dominance in that final round.
