The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Macotti gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Clifton.
Macotti throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Clifton gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Clifton avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Macotti has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Clifton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Macotti is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Clifton is aware though and is defending well.
Clifton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Clifton is working Macotti over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Clifton is posturing up here but Macotti has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Clifton tries to roll out but it's too tight and Clifton has to tap! Slick submission there by Macotti!
