Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dantes DeKorveia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tadakatsu Honda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dantes DeKorveia had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Dantes DeKorveia is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tadakatsu Honda!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honda swings widly with a right hand
letting DeKorveia counter with a right hand.
DeKorveia catches Honda with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
DeKorveia throws a series of punches but Honda moves out of range.
DeKorveia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Honda was well out of range. Poor timing from DeKorveia.
DeKorveia throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Honda on the side of the head.
DeKorveia misses with a two punch combination.
Honda doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
DeKorveia pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Honda back to the cage. DeKorveia follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Dantes DeKorveia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Honda doesn't succeed with the takedown
and DeKorveia counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Honda is looking to clinch but DeKorveia is avoiding it.
DeKorveia throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

DeKorveia scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
A looping hook to the body misses from DeKorveia. Honda does a little dance to reset his feet.

DeKorveia tries to bum rush Honda with a series of wild strikes but Honda uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Honda throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around DeKorveia's waist but DeKorveia gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Honda off to one side.
Dantes DeKorveia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tadakatsu Honda.
The fighters circle momentarily. DeKorveia darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
DeKorveia's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and DeKorveia duly obliges.
DeKorveia fails to land with a series of punches.
DeKorveia looks to land a combination but Honda avoids it well.
Honda thows a left - swing and a miss!
DeKorveia lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Honda moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Honda takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Honda tries for a takedown but DeKorveia sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Honda ducks right into an uppercut from DeKorveia.
DeKorveia throws a right and a left that Honda avoids nicely.

and Honda counters by clinching up.
DeKorveia wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Honda has him pressed against the cage.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Honda.

Honda jumps guard and drags DeKorveia to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Honda looking for a guillotine here but DeKorveia defends easily.
DeKorveia has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
DeKorveia is looking to stand up but Honda won't let him.

Honda throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! DeKorveia escapes and throws Honda's legs to the side, diving into side control!
DeKorveia wants to stand but Honda has his arm trapped.
Honda is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked DeKorveia off and has taken his back!
DeKorveia is trying to get back to his feet but Honda has full control of the position and if anything, DeKorveia has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Honda working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but DeKorveia is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Honda has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! DeKorveia taps out!

Tadakatsu Honda really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Juggernaut And Gladiators logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
