Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between August Spies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alonzo Trotter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trotter takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Trotter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spies.
Spies misses with a lunging right hand
and Trotter counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like August Spies has been cut.
Spies missing with a left hand there. Trotter was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Spies uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Trotter lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Spies throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Trotter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Spies fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Trotter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Trotter walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trotter is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Spies is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Trotter presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Trotter lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Spies backwards.
Spies works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Spies has a couple of punches blocked by Trotter.
Spies gets through Trotter's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Trotter pushes Spies back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Spies is fighting off a takedown attempt but Trotter is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Spies to the mat. Spies regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Trotter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trotter is looking to work some ground and pound but Spies has wrist control.

Trotter lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Spies - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Trotter!
