The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheze wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Biernat throws a combination that misses
and Sheze counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Sheze slips a jab and a cross from Biernat.
Mateusz Biernat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Biernat swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sheze counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Sheze circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sheze looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Sheze comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Biernat tries to clinch but Sheze moves out of range.
Sheze has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Biernat is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Nice shot lands for Sheze.
Sheze ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Biernat misses with a two punch combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sheze fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Biernat on the side of the head.

Biernat is rocked!
Sheze is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Biernat flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Biernat is out cold! Sheze holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Mnajdra Sheze was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
