The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Araujo misses.

Funk manages to work his way to half guard, despite Araujo's best efforts.
Funk wants to improve his position but Araujo is controlling well.

Araujo wants to work for an arm triangle but Funk is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Araujo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Funk is proving hard to escape from.
Funk manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Araujo manages to get himself to full guard.

Funk with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Funk is working Araujo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Funk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Funk postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Araujo covers up, he's hurt! Funk keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Funk and the ref steps in to end the fight! Funk can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
