In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jack Lynn! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Cody Garbrandt!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Garbrandt is looking to clinch but Lynn is avoiding it.

Lynn gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Lynn has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Garbrandt regains guard immediately.

Lynn is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lynn slips nicely into half guard.

Lynn is working for a kimura but Garbrandt is defending it quite comfortably.

Garbrandt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lynn is working away from the top position though.
Garbrandt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Garbrandt won't allow Lynn to pass to mount.
Lynn looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Lynn is looking for a kimura but Garbrandt is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lynn to get the leverage.

Lynn wants to work for an arm triangle but Garbrandt is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Garbrandt is in trouble now - Lynn has advanced to mount!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lynn just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Lynn is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Garbrandt has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Lynn has managed to slip his arm under Garbrandt's chin. This could be all over... yep, Garbrandt is tapping out! Submission win for Lynn.
