Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Van Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogdan Dereza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Van Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bogdan Dereza!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dereza takes the fight into the clinch.

Wallace gets control of Dereza's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wallace will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Wallace bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dereza's guard.

Wallace is working Dereza over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Wallace gets to his feet. Dereza looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Dereza fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wallace, pushing him back against the cage.

Wallace breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Van Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wallace has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dereza uses from the top position.

Dereza is working an open guard so Wallace takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Wallace clinches up with Dereza and pushes him back against the cage.
Dereza is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Wallace is keeping busy.

Wallace manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Dereza would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Wallace is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well, if Wallace is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Wallace fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Wallace takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Wallace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wallace manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Dereza is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Wallace is defending well for now.

Wallace decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dereza, up you get!

Wallace tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dereza smiles and moves away.

Wallace wants to get back to striking at distance but Dereza won't allow it.
Wallace effectively controlling the action here.
Wallace wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wallace using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Wallace tries to pull guard but Dereza holds him up against the cage and eventually Wallace drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Van Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wallace breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Wallace bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dereza tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Dereza's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Wallace works his way to his opponent's back.

Wallace is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Dereza with him. Dereza is trying to defend but Wallace has an arm under the chin now! Dereza grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Van Wallace!
