Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benito Madden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Jimmy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy has chosen Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benito Madden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Jimmy!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madden misses with a hook. Jimmy ducked under it nicely.
Madden plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jimmy slips a straight right by Madden.
Madden scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Madden misses with a body punch
and Jimmy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Madden is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jimmy's half guard.
Jimmy wants to control but Madden is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Madden seems to be working for a kimura but Jimmy defends the submission attempt.

Jimmy trying to hold on to Madden's head to control him but Madden postures up.
Jimmy is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Madden is staying active.
Madden will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jimmy is looking to improve his position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Madden wants to free his trapped foot but Jimmy is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Madden ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jimmy moves away.
Madden misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Madden throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Madden fails in his attempt to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jimmy.

Madden shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jimmy as he avoids it easily.
Madden pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jimmy back to the cage. Madden follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Madden moves into the clinch successfully.
Jimmy cracks Madden with a nice body shot.

Madden manages to pull guard.
Madden is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jimmy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Madden is on top in guard.

Jimmy is looking to stand back up but Madden counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jimmy.
Madden really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jimmy tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Madden has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Madden pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Madden tries to close the distance and clinch but Jimmy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jimmy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Madden misses with a kick to the body.
Jimmy is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Jimmy closes the distance and pushes Madden back into the cage.
Madden jumps guard but Jimmy turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Madden tries to pull guard but Jimmy won't allow it.
Jimmy has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Jimmy is breathing heavily.

Madden breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jimmy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jimmy lands in his opponent's guard.
Madden is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Madden is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jimmy can do to turn this around?
Madden has his hands on Jimmy's head, controlling the position.

Madden is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jimmy presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Madden is looking to break free of the clinch but Jimmy has double underhooks.

Jimmy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Madden takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Madden tries for a takedown but Jimmy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Madden wants to clinch.

Jimmy closes the distance and clinches.
Jimmy tries to break the clinch but Madden is controlling the position.

Madden manages to pull guard.
Jimmy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Madden manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jimmy manages to get himself to full guard.

Jimmy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Madden has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Madden content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Jimmy looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Madden has picked Jimmy up and slammed him! Jimmy can't keep hold of the triangle and Madden manages to pass to side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jim Jimmy will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Madden connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Jimmy darts in trying to clinch
and Madden counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Madden misses with a takedown attempt - Jimmy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And Jimmy tries to counter it with a takedown but Madden pushes his down on his head and steps out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice takedown defense from Jimmy. No joy for Madden on that attempt.
Jimmy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Madden uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jimmy has time to react.

Madden throws an overhand right that lands on Jimmy's shoulder, as Jimmy tries to avoid the shot.
Jimmy looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Madden throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jimmy counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jimmy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jimmy sizes up Madden with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Jimmy doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Madden counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Madden throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Madden accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Madden postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jim Jimmy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Madden throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jimmy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Madden throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jimmy.
Madden lands the left hand.
Madden works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Madden shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jimmy sprawls well. Jimmy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Madden gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benito Madden. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jimmy takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Madden throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jimmy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

And that's the end of the fight!
