Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Onni Seppala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerry Pounder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pounder has chosen Gorgoroth - Open the Gates as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Pounder. Those never looked like landing.
Seppala scores with a jab. Pounder acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Seppala fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pounder manages to avoid it.
Seppala ducks under a wild hook from Pounder.
Seppala slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Seppala avoids the body shot from Pounder.

Seppala fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pounder, pushing him back against the cage.
Pounder misses with a short punch on the inside.
Seppala lands a left hand that snaps the head of Pounder backwards.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Pounder takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

That has opened up Gerry Pounder's cut even more.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Seppala creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Seppala gets through Pounder's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Seppala lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Pounder backwards.
Pounder has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Seppala is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Seppala looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Pounder has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Seppala avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Onni Seppala has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gerry Pounder.

Seppala lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

The cut above Gerry Pounder's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Pounder is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Seppala gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Seppala is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Seppala creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Pounder with a big uppercut! Pounder tries to clinch up but Seppala pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Pounder to the mat! Pounder covers up and Seppala unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
