Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Deno Ripper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nils Amainognieson!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amainognieson blocks a head kick by Ripper.
Amainognieson's coach down at The Iron Palace was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Amainognieson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ripper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ripper tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Amainognieson misses with a wild body shot.
Ripper is looking to clinch.
Amainognieson lands with an overhand left.
Amainognieson lands a nice hook to Ripper's body. Ripper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Ripper throws a sloppy head kick and Amainognieson moves out of range easily.
Ripper seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Ripper tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Amainognieson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ripper looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Amainognieson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ripper wants to clinch up but Amainognieson keeps it at a distance.
Ripper tries to close the distance and clinch but Amainognieson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ripper takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Amainognieson throws a nice looking combination but Ripper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
As Amainognieson tries to get set, Ripper tries to push him back and clinch up but Amainognieson manages to avoid the attempt.

Ripper gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A short right from Amainognieson on the inside.

Amainognieson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Amainognieson misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Amainognieson pushes Ripper back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Amainognieson misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Amainognieson wants to break free but Ripper has control.

Amainognieson breaks the clinch.
Ripper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Amainognieson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ripper takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ripper tries to close the distance and clinch but Amainognieson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Ripper tries a knee to the head but Amainognieson blocks it.
Amainognieson scores with a shot to the side of Ripper's head.

Amainognieson breaks from the clinch.
Ripper tries to clinch but Amainognieson is having none of it.
Ripper tries to move into range but Amainognieson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ripper is looking to clinch but Amainognieson is avoiding it.
Ripper moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Amainognieson is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Ripper rather than just go for the knockout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Amainognieson keeps the fight on the outside.
Amainognieson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


Ripper is rocked!
Ripper glances at the clock... BAM! Amainognieson nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Ripper crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Ripper is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nils Amainognieson!
Nils Amainognieson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Deno Ripper spoke after the fight, saying 'Fighting is in my blood'.
