And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fabricio Velasquez!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Minasian is defended easily by Velasquez.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Velasquez breaks the clinch.
Minasian connects with a nice looking jab.
Minasian fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Velasquez manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A combination from Velasquez does no damage.
Velasquez misses with a body shot.
Minasian lands a really nice looking cross but Velasquez seems unphased.
Velasquez misses with a double jab.
Velasquez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Minasian's head backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Minasian dodges the punch combination from Velasquez.
Minasian throws a hook but Velasquez blocks it.
Minasian throws a predictable looking body shot
and Velasquez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Velasquez blocks a leg kick.
Velasquez throws out a counter right but Minasian avoids it with no problem.
Velasquez slips a jab from Minasian.
Velasquez scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Velasquez staying out of range there.
Minasian's corner calls for a 1-2. Minasian obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Velasquez looks to land a right hand but Minasian moved out of range.
Minasian closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Velasquez did well to prevent Minasian getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Minasian throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Velasquez is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Velasquez is refusing to be controlled, as Minasian sits in half guard.
Velasquez pushes Minasian off looking to stand but Minasian dives back in and keeps control.
Minasian thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Velasquez's head.
Minasian thows a huge punch but Velasquez dodges it nicely.
Velasquez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Minasian.
Minasian lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Minasian sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Velasquez defending well though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Minasian connects with a nice short shot to Velasquez's temple.
Minasian lands a big elbow - Velasquez is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Minasian!
