Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anton Ellison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Anton Ellison has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Silva!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ellison to the mat! Ellison manages to get full guard.
Ellison is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him.

Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ellison is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silva, into his guard.

Silva is looking to stand up but Ellison isn't so interested in that idea.
Ellison trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Silva wants to stand up but Ellison is controlling him.
Ellison keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Silva's head.
Ellison has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ellison is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him.

Ellison stands and steps away. Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ellison tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ellison somewhat.
As Ellison backs off Silva throws a huge counter combo but Ellison manages to avoid it all.

Ellison trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ellison has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Silva off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Silva looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ellison!

Ellison throws Silva to one side and escapes!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silva drops back looking for a leg! Ellison is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ellison manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Ellison's guard.

Silva drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Silva as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Ellison screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Silva! Nice submission victory there!
