Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jada Mbaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartel Diakite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diakite has chosen Diamonds as his entrance music. Bartel Diakite is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mbaa scores with a nice body kick.
Mbaa swings away with a leg kick that misses.
And Diakite tries to counter it with a takedown but Mbaa pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Diakite shoots in for a takedown but Mbaa shows good takedown defense.

Diakite feints and as Mbaa raises his hands in defense, Diakite changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Diakite drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Diakite jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Diakite pushes down on Mbaa's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Diakite perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mbaa is trying to stand up here but Diakite is controlling him well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Diakite in particular looking to stall.

Mbaa is trying to escape back to his feet but Diakite uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Diakite tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Diakite has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Diakite is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
