Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ari Kantola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brock comes to the cage accompanied by Venom's Theme. Eddie Brock is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ari Kantola!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kantola walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kantola slips a jab and a cross from Brock.
Brock connects with a right hand. Kantola shakes it off.
Kantola on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Kantola tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brock sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kantola somewhat.
Brock tries a head kick but it misses.
Kantola drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Brock defends it well.

Brock lands with a thumping leg kick.
Brock scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kantola takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kantola tries to move into range but Brock moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Brock creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kantola is defended easily by Brock.

Brock lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Brock missing with a left hand there. Kantola was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kantola drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Brock defends it well.
Kantola shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Brock will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Brock will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brock lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Brock lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Kantola takes a kick to the side of the head.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Brock.
Eddie Brock is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Brock fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kantola has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brock, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
