Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Ring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corwin Anstey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corwin Anstey told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Ring!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Ring, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Anstey throws a looping overhand right but Ring ducks down to avoid it.
Ring throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Anstey.
Ring misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ring takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Good leg kick by Anstey there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A jab from Ring does it's job there.
Ring throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ring scores with a spinning back kick!
A head kick misses from Ring.
Ring throws a right and a left that Anstey avoids nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Anstey lands with an uppercut that bounces Ring off the cage and back into range.
Ring looks to land a body kick but Anstey moved away.
Anstey appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Anstey thuds his shin into the meat of Ring's side.
Ring checks a low kick from Anstey.
Anstey thuds a left hand into Ring's body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ring swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Anstey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ring won't be happy with that.
Anstey lands a decent elbow from side control.
Anstey happy to just control the position for now.
Ring defending against the ground and pound.
Anstey is staying tight to Ring's torso, preventing him from escaping.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ring is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Anstey controls the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Ring moves out of range of the strikes.
Ring walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Anstey throws a head kick but Ring moves out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Anstey misses the target.
Ring lands a jab.
Ring misses with a head kick.
Anstey scores with a jab.
Anstey throws a big shot that misses.
Ring takes a jab right on the kisser.
Anstey will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Anstey looks to land a left hand but Ring moved out of range nicely.
Anstey dodges the punch combination from Ring.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ring throws a head kick that misses
and Ring takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anstey swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Anstey tried to score with a low kick but Ring checks it.
Ring avoids the head kick by Anstey.
Ring throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Anstey blocks a head kick by Ring.
Ring takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ring feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Anstey's calf.
A slapping leg kick lands for Ring.
Ring misses with a looping left.
Anstey scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Ring throws a leg kick which misses Anstey's front leg but catches the back leg as Anstey tries to avoid it.
Anstey lands with a hook. Ring tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.


Ring is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Corwin Anstey dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Anstey drops Ring with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Ring! Anstey dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Corwin Anstey!
