The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mason is fending him off so far but Poo persists. Nope, Mason circles away and we're back to standing.

Poo tries to keep at a distance but Mason has taken the fight into the clinch.
Mason lands with a light punch inside.
Poo lands an elbow that stopped Mason in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Dean Mason has been cut.
Mason is looking to break free of the clinch but Poo has double underhooks.
Poo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mason gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Poo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mason struggles to land a body shot inside as Poo controls his hands.

Mason lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Poo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mason feints and as Poo raises his hands in defense, Mason changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Poo.
Poo shoots in looking for a takedown. Mason tries to sprawl out of it but Poo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mason manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mason tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Poo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Mason stands up over Poo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Mason postures up in Poo's guard and throws a big left but Poo blocks it.
Mason throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Poo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Poo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mason.
Poo wants to sweep here but Mason controlling him for the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Mason swats away the attempt to clinch by Poo.
Mason feinted with a counter takedown.
Poo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mason is fending him off so far but Poo persists. Nope, Mason circles away and we're back to standing.
Mason attempts a counter takedown but Poo avoids it well and moves away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Poo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Poo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mason manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Poo gets caught napping as Mason dives in and scores a takedown. Poo manages to retain guard.

Mason has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
