The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stephens shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Commings won't allow Stephens to pass to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Commings is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stephens's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stephens's back!

Stephens stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Commings swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Stephens is working Commings over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Stephens wants to pass the guard but Commings is keeping the position.
Commings wants to get back to his feet but Stephens is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Commings tries to throw a body punch but Stephens avoids it by throwing Commings back against the cage.

Stephens manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Commings on his heels. He'll look to pass Commings's guard now, I'm sure.

Commings is trying to control Stephens's posture but Stephens avoids it.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Stephens. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Commings tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Stephens presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
