Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Dukes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Misha Pilsudski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jason Dukes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Misha Pilsudski!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dukes clinches.
Dukes trying to stall but Pilsudski improves his position.
Dukes is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Pilsudski gets control of Dukes's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pilsudski will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Pilsudski looking for a sweep. Not yet Pilsudski, not yet.
Pilsudski pulls Dukes in close to prevent any damage.
Dukes wants to control from the top but Pilsudski keeps moving.
Dukes with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dukes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pilsudski is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dukes, into his guard.

Dukes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pilsudski is one step ahead there.

Pilsudski stays in close to Dukes's body and controls the position.
Dukes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dukes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pilsudski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dukes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pilsudski missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Pilsudski seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dukes.
Pilsudski tries to counter with a clinch but Dukes shakes him off and moves away.

Dukes drives through and clinches with Pilsudski against the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pilsudski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Despite the aggression on Pilsudski's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Pilsudski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dukes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pilsudski somewhat.

Dukes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pilsudski sprawls well. Pilsudski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dukes gets slowly back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dukes moves into range and clinches up with Pilsudski.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jason Dukes will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Dukes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pilsudski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pilsudski is defended easily by Dukes.
Pilsudski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dukes throws a lazy right hand but Pilsudski sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
As Dukes backs off Pilsudski throws a huge counter combo but Dukes manages to avoid it all.

Dukes rushes Pilsudski and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Dukes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pilsudski throws a head kick that misses.
Dukes went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Dukes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pilsudski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dukes somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Pilsudski counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Horrible takedown attempt by Pilsudski or perhaps it was just good defense by Dukes, which made it look bad.
A little feinted left hand from Dukes on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Dukes lands an elbow inside that Pilsudski shrugs off.

Dukes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pilsudski just stands there and leans against the cage.

Dukes shoots in looking for a takedown. Pilsudski tries to sprawl out of it but Dukes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pilsudski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dukes closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pilsudski quickly recovers to half guard.

Dukes stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pilsudski is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dukes holds on and takes a little breather.
