That was a close round but I would say that Hannibal Lyons will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Pondingham thuds his right hand into Lyons's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Pondingham closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Lyons crashing to the mat! Lyons uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

It looks like Hannibal Lyons has been cut.
Douglas Pondingham seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pondingham lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lyons has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lyons and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Lyons's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pondingham connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lyons scrambles back to his feet.

Pondingham feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lyonss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Pondingham displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lyons throws out the jab.
Pondingham closes the distance and catches Lyons with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Lyons is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Lyons is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Lyons is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Pondingham takes it!
