Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steve Clayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dino Evangelista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steve Clayton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dino Evangelista!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clayton misses with a right hand

and Evangelista counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Clayton manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Evangelista blocks a jab.

Clayton tries to land a body kick

and Evangelista counters with a nice double leg into side control. Clayton won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Evangelista is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Clayton has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Evangelista goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Clayton has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Evangelista but great work by Clayton.

Clayton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Evangelista is looking to improve his position but Clayton isn't that keen on the idea.
Clayton throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Evangelista because Clayton loaded up on that one.

Clayton is landing with some decent strikes but Evangelista is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Evangelista sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Clayton wants to stand up but Evangelista has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Clayton trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Clayton dives in and grabs Evangelista's left leg, looking for a takedown. Evangelista pushes down on Clayton's head and hops out.
Evangelista changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Clayton clobbers Evangelista with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Clayton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Evangelista manages to avoid it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Clayton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Clayton goes for a double leg but Evangelista avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Evangelista continues to drive forward.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Evangelista has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Evangelista there as he acknowledges the shot.

Clayton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Clayton is in close to Evangelista's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Clayton wanted to stand there but Evangelista had control of the position.
Evangelista is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Clayton kicks Evangelista off and gets back to his feet.
Evangelista's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Clayton connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Evangelista scrambles back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Clayton shoots in but Evangelista avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Evangelista is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Clayton looks for a takedown but Evangelista sprawls well.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Clayton. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Clayton throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Evangelista was covering up waiting for the punch and Clayton finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Clayton wants to stand but Evangelista has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Evangelista wants to sweep here but Clayton controlling him for the moment.

Clayton gets to his feet - Evangelista follows without any prompting.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Clayton is looking for a sweep.

Evangelista is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Clayton is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Clayton flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Evangelista anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Clayton and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Evangelista slips an arm under Clayton chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Evangelista has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Evangelista is squeezing on Clayton like an anaconda would it's prey. Clayton fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Dino Evangelista!
During a confident post fight interview, Dino Evangelista thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
