Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emanuel Rodrigez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Curtis Guerrero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Emanuel Rodrigez!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodrigez manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Guerrero on his heels. He'll look to pass Guerrero's guard now, I'm sure.
Guerrero is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Guerrero pulls Rodrigez in close to his closed guard and prevents Rodrigez from doing any damage or advancing position.
Rodrigez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guerrero not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Rodrigez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Rodrigez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Guerrero circles away.
As Rodrigez looks to move away, Guerrero throws a big counter combo but Rodrigez just gets out of the way.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rodrigez is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Guerrero wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

As Rodrigez tries to get set, Guerrero tries to push him back and clinch up but Rodrigez manages to avoid the attempt.

Guerrero jumps guard and drags Rodrigez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Guerrero is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rodrigez has managed to free his arm - good work.
Guerrero takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Guerrero fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rodrigez sprawls well initially but Guerrero persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Guerrero is stalling here. Rodrigez is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Guerrero seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rodrigez has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Guerrero manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Rodrigez keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Guerrero is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rodrigez can do to turn this around?

Guerrero tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Guerrero wants to finish this one by submission but Rodrigez is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Guerrero.
Guerrero lands a couple of good shots and Rodrigez has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Guerrero is cranking Rodrigez's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Rodrigez! He's tightened the choke and Rodrigez is tapping out!
