Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rayford Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theo Shan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Theo Shan acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rayford Wise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Theo Shan!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wise.

Shan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wise did well to prevent Shan getting side control.

Shan is looking for a kimura here.

Shan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Shan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Shan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Shan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wise stands up from Shan's guard - Wise perhaps looking for a knockout.
Shan is breathing heavily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wise.
Rayford Wise is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Shan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wise tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Shan is in Wise's guard.

Wise is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shan defends well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rayford Wise will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Shan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Shan throws a right and a left that Wise avoids nicely.

Wise dives in and scores a takedown into Shan's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Shan manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Wise jumps guard.

Wise had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shan defends it easily.
Shan wants to control from the top but Wise keeps moving.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wise utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Shan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Wise is looking for a triangle but Shan pushes his legs off easily.
Shan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wise is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Shan looking to sit in guard and control but Wise gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Wise jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Shan manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Rayford Wise overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wise swings around for an armbar but Shan sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Wise's guard.

Shan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rayford Wise.
I think Wise has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
