Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burton misses with a takedown attempt
and Black counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Burton slips a jab from Black.
Burton tried to counter with a leg kick but Black avoided it.
Black throws a lazy uppercut
letting Burton counter with a right hand.
Black swinging wildly here.
As Black tries to get set, Burton tries to push him back and clinch up but Black manages to avoid the attempt.

Black tries to sprawl but Burton drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Black is trying to stand up here but Burton is controlling him well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burton missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Black is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Black has hold of Burton's hands but Burton slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Burton is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Burton stops Black from getting back to his feet.
Burton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Black wants to control but Burton is keeping busy.
Burton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Burton prevents Black from improving his position.
Burton slows the pace down in half guard.

Burton takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Burton lands strikes from half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Black wants to control but Burton passes into side.

Burton scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Black to see if he's OK.
Burton controls the position.
Black tries to buck Burton off but Burton is having none of it.

Burton throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Black is letting Burton control him for a moment.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Burton lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Black down.
Black is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Burton has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Black explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Burton takes one to the side of the head.

Black gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Burton tries to break free but Black pushes him back against the cage.

Black is trying to force a seperation but Burton has the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Black manages to break the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Burton.
Black swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Micheal Burton will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Burton shoots in looking for a takedown but Black manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Burton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Black throws a series of strikes that have Burton backpedaling.
Black tests Burton's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Burton is rocked!
Black rushes Burton with punches - Burton moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Burton goes down! Black follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
