Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between George Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Tom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tom is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kings Of Leon - Sex on Fire. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tim Tom!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tom takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Smith scores with a shot to the body.
Tom will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Smith shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tom eats them both and turns towards Smith to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Tim Tom has been cut.
Smith scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Tom fails with the takedown
and Smith counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Smith uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tom has time to react.
Tom takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
A left lands for Smith.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tom shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
George Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Tom.
Tom throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Smith cracks Tom with a right hand to the side of the head.

Smith lands a big head kick that sends Tom tumbling to the mat! Smith takes a step backwards and waves Tom back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Tom is rocked!
Smith is looking to slow Tom down with leg kicks.
Tom is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?
Tom closes the distance looking to clinch
and Smith counters with a straight right hand.

Smith delivers a nice body kick.
Tom seems to have recovered his senses.
Smith with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Smith lands with a thumping leg kick.
Tom misses with a takedown attempt
and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Smith has managed to clinch.
Smith is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Smith lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Tom has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Smith manages to break the clinch.
Smith displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Tom on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Tom takes a kick to the side of the head.
We've been told by Smith's head coaches at Arvins Bootcamp that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Tom tries for a takedown but Smith circles away easily

and Smith counters with a crisp one two that drops Tom! Smith thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Tom to his feet! Tom is in big trouble!
Tim Tom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith is breathing heavily.
The fighters circle, before Smith throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Tom's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Smith lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
