PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Steve Cusumano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Kevin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin has chosen Thunderstruck as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Cusumano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Kevin!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kevin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cusumano - the referee stops the clock and Kevin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cusumano. Kevin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Kevin dodges the punch combination from Cusumano.
Kevin closes the distance but Cusumano moves to the side
enabling Cusumano to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Dave Kevin has been cut.
Cusumano throws a right hand that Kevin ducks under and follows up with a left that Kevin also avoids with ease.
Cusumano swinging wildly here.
Kevin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cusumano counters with a stiff right hand.
Kevin moves in looking to clinch but Cusumano pushes him off.
Cusumano misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Cusumano staggers Kevin with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Kevin looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cusumano throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cusumano lands with a right hand.

Kevin is rocked!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Cusumano punishes Kevin's body with a nice straight punch.
Kevin is still on wobbly legs! Can Cusumano finish him?
Cusumano weaves into range and cracks Kevin right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Kevin goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Cusumano is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Steve Cusumano!
