Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Soros!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ron Burgundy!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soros showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Burgundy.
Soros throws a head kick that misses.
Burgundy blocks a head kick by Soros.
Burgundy throws a nice looking combination but Soros bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Burgundy throws an overhand right that lands on Soros's shoulder, as Soros tries to avoid the shot.
Burgundy throws a right hand that Soros ducks under and follows up with a left that Soros also avoids with ease.
Soros seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Burgundy misses with a double jab
and Soros counters with a three punch combo that has Burgundy backing up. Burgundy nods at Soros to acknowledge the strikes.
Soros definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Soros throws a nice looking combination but Burgundy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Burgundy throws a right and a left that Soros avoids nicely.

As Burgundy looks to move away, Soros throws a big counter combo but Burgundy just gets out of the way.

Soros lands with a nice combination. Burgundy backs away looking to recover.

Burgundy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Soros tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Burgundy manages to circle out of the way.

This has been an exciting period of action!

That was a close round but I would say that George Soros will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Burgundy is trying to push Soros away but Soros has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

and Soros counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Soros plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Soros has taken the fight to the clinch.
Soros stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
A frustrated look appears on Burgundy's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to George Soros.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Soros, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
