Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between I Am (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raijin Kage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Am comes to the cage accompanied by Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Part II. Kage has chosen Ride the Lightning as his entrance music. Raijin Kage has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, I Am!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raijin Kage!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab from Kage.
Kage fails in his attempt to clinch.
Am swinging wildly here.
Am throws a quick inside leg kick.
Am throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kage stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kage wants to clinch but Am slips to the side
and Kage takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kage will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kage displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Am throws out the jab.
Kage thows a leg kick but Am checks it
and Am counters with an outside leg kick.
Kage connects with a single shot there.
A leg kick checked by Am.
Kage connects with an inside leg kick.
Kage wants to clinch.
A punch combination from Am misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kage cracks a nice hook into Am's ribs.
Raijin Kage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Am ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kage throws a push kick but Am slaps the foot to one side.
As Kage backs away, Am returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Kage fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Am manages to avoid it.
Kage catches Am with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A big left from Kage misses.
Kage swings widly with a right hand
and Am cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kage bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Am blocks a head kick by Kage.
Am seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Kage wants to clinch.
Kage fails with a takedown attempt.

Kage has managed to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kage lands a body punch in the clinch.
Am working some nice short punches in the clinch.
I was talking to Am's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A body shot lands from Am.
Am lands with a light punch inside.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kage has a couple of punches blocked by Am.
Kage looking for a takedown.
Kage tries a body shot but Am blocks it.
Kage misses with a hook to the ribs.
Am goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kage prevents it.
Am gets underhooks to prevent Kage's takedown attempt.
I Am has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raijin Kage.
A head punch on the inside from Kage fails to land.
Am lands a body punch in the clinch.
Am lands a body punch.
Kage tries to throw a body punch but Am avoids it by throwing Kage back against the cage.

Am pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kage tries for a takedown but Am circles away easily
and Am counters with a good low kick that Kage was not able to check.
Kage lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Am checks a low kick from Kage.
Kage wants to clinch.
Am swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Kage wants to clinch but Am slips to the side
and Am counters with a three punch combo that has Kage backing up. Kage nods at Am to acknowledge the strikes.
I Am is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kage throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Good shot there by Am.
Am scores with a sloppy right hand. Kage should have avoided that one.
Kage misses with a left hand
and Am counters with a straight right hand.
Am gets in close and tags Kage with a short punch that almost sends Kage to the mat! Oh Kage is in big trouble! He turns his back on Am, trying to create some distance but Am rushes him, striking wildly and Kage goes down! The referee tackles Am into the cage to end the fight! Am is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). I Am!
A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, I Am made sure he mentioned Sin City Allstars, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
Raijin Kage was interviewed post fight and said 'The storm only gets stronger...'.
