Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Koslov Kovalenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Ellesworth!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovalenko shoots in for a double leg but Ellesworth sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ellesworth throws a fast counter high kick but Kovalenko manages to duck under it in time.
James Ellesworth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ellesworth stuffs the takedown attempt from Kovalenko. Kovalenko gets slowly back to his feet.
Good leg kick by Ellesworth there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Ellesworth tries to close the distance and clinch but Kovalenko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Ellesworth lands a big head kick that sends Kovalenko tumbling to the mat! Ellesworth takes a step backwards and waves Kovalenko back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Koslov Kovalenko has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
