Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chad Roth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Kramer!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roth instigates a clinch.
Roth jumps guard but Kramer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Roth really is a fat lump.

Roth manages to break the clinch.
Roth fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kramer tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Kramer makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

and Roth holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

The referee is keeping an eye on Roth - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Kramer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Roth uses from the top position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Roth tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Roth gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Roth is adopting a defensive guard.
Roth is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kramer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kramer has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Roth clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Roth manages to escape to his feet.

Kramer clinches up against the cage.
Roth is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kramer is defending well for now.

Roth is trying to drag Kramer to the mat but Kramer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Roth might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kramer lands a nice hook to Roth's body. Roth takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Kramer is looking to take a break and control but Roth is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kramer is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Roth tries to kick Kramer off but Kramer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kramer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Roth does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
