Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Asu Kuren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mubu Zwangwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zwangwa is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Vanuatu National Gymn. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Asu Kuren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mubu Zwangwa!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zwangwa dips to his left and cracks Kuren with an uppercut!
Zwangwa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kuren rushes Zwangwa and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kuren gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Kuren trying to control the action but Zwangwa is working from the bottom.
Kuren is pressing down on Zwangwa's thigh, looking to free his foot. Zwangwa is holding on for now.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kuren throwing shots but Zwangwa is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kuren thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zwangwa's head.
Kuren has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kuren thows a huge punch but Zwangwa dodges it nicely.

Kuren has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Zwangwa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kuren moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kuren darts in and clinches Zwangwa up against the cage.
Kuren is working for takedown but Zwangwa is calmly controlling the position for now.

Zwangwa is trying to force a seperation but Kuren has the dominant position.
Kuren has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Zwangwa avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Zwangwa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Zwangwa stalks Kuren and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kuren's face. Kuren staggers backwards, shaken.
Zwangwa ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Kuren has Zwangwa up against the cage in a clinch.
Zwangwa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Zwangwa has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kuren seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Zwangwa manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Kuren clinches up with Zwangwa and pushes him back against the cage.

Mubu Zwangwa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Kuren's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Kuren drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Zwangwa gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Zwangwa is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kuren is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Zwangwa to the mat. Zwangwa regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Zwangwa wants to get back to his feet but Kuren is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kuren looking to sit in guard and control but Zwangwa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kuren has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Kuren is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Kuren on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kuren tries to get out of the position.
Kuren wants to sweep but no luck.
Zwangwa wants to stand and escape but instead Kuren has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Kuren won't allow Zwangwa to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kuren postures up in Zwangwa's guard and throws a big left but Zwangwa blocks it.

Kuren missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Zwangwa wants to stand but Kuren is controlling the position.
Zwangwa keeping moving, preventing Kuren from controlling successfully.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Zwangwa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Asu Kuren has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mubu Zwangwa is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kuren tries to bum rush Zwangwa with a series of wild strikes but Zwangwa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Mubu Zwangwa.
I've got Zwangwa winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
