Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dick Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brody Kavanagh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dick Pound!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brody Kavanagh!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kavanagh closes the distance and pushes Pound back into the cage.
Pound lands a right hand.
Pound misses with a short punch on the inside.
Kavanagh drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pound pulls his leg out and moves away.
Pound cracks Kavanagh with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Pound paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kavanagh shoots in but Pound avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kavanagh displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pound throws out the jab.
Kavanagh drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Pound defends it well.
Kavanagh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pound but Pound pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dick Pound has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brody Kavanagh.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The fighters circle momentarily. Kavanagh darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Brody Kavanagh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kavanagh tries a quick counter leg kick but Pound is wise to it.
Kavanagh stalks Pound and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pound's face. Pound staggers backwards, shaken.

Brody Kavanagh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kavanagh winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
