Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drew Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerry Lawler has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Drew Wood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jerry Lawler!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lawler circles away.
Lawler tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Wood's corner calls for a 1-2. Wood obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Lawler gets the takedown into side control.
Lawler is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Wood's shoulder. That is not cool.
Wood tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lawler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Lawler tries to move into full mount but can't pass Wood's legs.
Wood gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Lawler tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Wood is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Lawler has taken his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
I really don't envy Wood right now.

Lawler is working for a rear naked choke. Wood is not defending it well and Lawler has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Wood refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Wood's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

A pretty intense looking Jerry Lawler took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
