Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ichi Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Mcdermott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcdermott has chosen Broken Wings as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichi Takeshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Terry Mcdermott!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Takeshi gets a clinch.
Takeshi gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mcdermott.
Takeshi lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Mcdermott or not.
Takeshi is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mcdermott gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcdermott escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Takeshi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mcdermott working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Takeshi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Takeshi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mcdermott manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Takeshi manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Takeshi forces Mcdermott back against the cage and clinches.
Takeshi struggles to land a body shot inside as Mcdermott controls his hands.

Mcdermott is trying to trip Takeshi. He has hold of a leg but Takeshi is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mcdermott persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Takeshi has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mcdermott off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Takeshi has control of Mcdermott's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mcdermott regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Takeshi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Terry Mcdermott was interviewed post fight and said 'He was the better man tonight but ill be back better and stronger than ever!! Mark my words!'.
