Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Zappa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistar Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Zappa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alistar Silva!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zappa closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Silva pushes Zappa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Zappa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Zappa wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Silva, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zappa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Zappa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Silva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Zappa is working to tighten his grip on Silva's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Silva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Zappa is really squeezing tight and eventually Silva passes out! Zappa breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
