PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Huber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huber comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Enter Sandman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Armstrong dives in and scores a takedown into Huber's guard.
Armstrong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Huber swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Armstrong has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Armstrong lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Armstrong wants to pass the guard but Huber is keeping the position.

Huber looking for a guillotine here but Armstrong defends easily.

Huber had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Armstrong defends it easily.
Armstrong passes Huber's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Huber tries to roll over but Armstrong keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Armstrong thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Huber's head.

The fighters are battling for position here. Huber manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Armstrong postures up in Huber's guard and throws a big left but Huber blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Huber is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Armstrong is aware though and is defending well.

Armstrong thows a huge punch but Huber dodges it nicely.
Huber on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Armstrong lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Huber quite badly. Huber pulls Armstrong in close trying to recover. Armstrong postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Huber on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Huber doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

After winning the bout, Eddie Armstrong thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
