PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Lotus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Strikes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lotus's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eye of the tiger. On his way into the cage it seems that Tommy Lotus has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tommy Lotus seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 41 - 38 - 2, fighting out of London, Carlos Strikes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strikes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lotus defends well and Strikes ends up having to push Lotus into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Strikes keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lotus's efforts to push away.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Strikes creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Strikes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lotus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Strikes, pushing him back against the cage.

and Strikes makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Lotus appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Strikes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lotus pinned against the cage. Lotus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Strikes moves into range and clinches up with Lotus.

Strikes makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Tommy Lotus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Strikes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Well Strikes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
