These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

D Amato fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Pulkkinen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Albert Pulkkinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pulkkinen moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
D Amato on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Pulkkinen. Pulkkinen obviously looking to wear him down.

D Amato shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pulkkinen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pulkkinen is pulling down on D Amato's head. It's preventing any offense from D Amato, at least for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
D Amato connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Pulkkinen scores with a head kick. D Amato tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Pulkkinen has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
D Amato gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pulkkinen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Pulkkinen drops D Amato with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but D Amato looks back up at him and smiles so Pulkkinen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
