The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ossas throws a looping overhand right but Evangelista ducks down to avoid it.
Oh Evangelista is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Evangelista uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ossas.

Ossas clinches.
Evangelista seems to have got his legs back now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ossas breaks from the clinch.

Ossas tries to clinch but Evangelista moves out of range.

Evangelista ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Evangelista bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ossas throws a lazy uppercut

and Evangelista counters with a single leg into guard. Ossas didn't expect that.
We've been hearing that Evangelista has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ossas wants to get back to his feet but Evangelista passes into half guard.
Evangelista lands strikes from half guard.
Ossas looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Evangelista is trying to control the action in half guard but Ossas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Evangelista uses his free foot to push down on Ossas's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ossas.
Ossas is looking to improve his position but Evangelista isn't that keen on the idea.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Evangelista is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Evangelista extends the arm and Ossas is forced to tap!
