Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vito Mcpherson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Osborn Sharrow!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharrow leaves Mcpherson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sharrow looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Sharrow has Mcpherson up against the cage in a clinch.
Sharrow looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Sharrow wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sharrow gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mcpherson.
Mcpherson wants to get back to striking at distance but Sharrow won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sharrow pulls guard successfully.
Mcpherson sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sharrow throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mcpherson escapes and throws Sharrow's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Mcpherson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Sharrow should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Sharrow is trying to control Mcpherson's posture but Mcpherson avoids it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mcpherson controls the position.
Mcpherson cracks Sharrow with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Mcpherson is staying tight to Sharrow's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Mcpherson is working to tighten his grip on Sharrow's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sharrow has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mcpherson is really squeezing tight and eventually Sharrow passes out! Mcpherson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Vito Mcpherson!
