PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Quaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Beck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quaid comes to the cage accompanied by Total Recall. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beck throws a head kick but Quaid moves out of range.
Quaid was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A nice inside leg kick there by Beck. That's going to slow Quaid down.
Quaid gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Beck.

Quaid takes the fight into the clinch.
Quaid throws a punch but it's blocked by Beck.
Beck lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Quaid breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Beck walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Hans Beck has been cut.
Beck misses with a hook.
Quaid was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Quaid uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Beck.
Quaid takes a jab right on the kisser.
Some bone on bone action there as Quaid checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Beck throws a looping overhand right but Quaid ducks down to avoid it.
Quaid appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Beck uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Quaid.
Beck slips under a jab from Quaid.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Beck scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Beck feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Quaid's calf.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Quaid, as that shot connected.
Quaid gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Quaid uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Beck.

Quaid ducks under a wild hook from Beck.
Beck misses with a two punch combination.
Quaid needs to keep his hands up - Beck had a free shot at his head there.
A big right from Quaid misses.
Beck takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Quaid throws a looping overhand right but Beck ducks down to avoid it.
An inside leg kick from Beck misses.
Quaid ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Beck finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Beck moves out of range as Quaid strikes.

Beck drops his hands momentarily and Quaid takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Beck's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Beck duly obliges.
Quaid misses with a hook. Beck ducked under it nicely.
Beck misses with an uppercut. Quaid saw that one coming.
It looked like Quaid wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Beck misses with a low kick as Quaid jumps back.
Quaid lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

That has opened up Hans Beck's cut even more.

The fight stays on the outside here - Quaid looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Quaid missing with a left hand there. Beck was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Quaid with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Beck to score with a decent uppercut.
Quaid throws a hook but Beck avoids it easily.

Quaid darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
We've been informed that Beck has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Beck ducks straight into an uppercut from Quaid and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Beck manages to regain guard straight away.

Beck is rocked!

The cut above Hans Beck's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Beck looking for a sweep. Not yet Beck, not yet.
Beck is still in real trouble! Can Quaid finish him?
Quaid gets to his feet and stands over Beck, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Beck felt that one! Quaid unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Beck from any more punishment!
