Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tom Gentry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Olaffson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Olaffson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gentry did well to prevent Olaffson getting side control.

Olaffson has hold of Gentry's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gentry manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gentry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Olaffson on the ground.

Olaffson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Olaffson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Olaffson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Gentry turns into him and now he's in Olaffson's guard.
Olaffson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gentry manages to get himself to full guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Olaffson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gentry wants to break free but Olaffson has control.

Olaffson has Gentry pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Olaffson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gentry tumbling to the mat - Olaffson dives into Gentry's guard.
Olaffson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Olaffson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gentry jumps guard but Olaffson stands there with Gentry around his waist. Gentry gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Gentry ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gentry no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Olaffson passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Olaffson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gentry is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Olaffson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gentry, who protects the arm well.

Gentry takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
