The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lahey, as that shot connected.
Boaz with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lahey to score with a decent uppercut.

and Boaz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Boaz.

Lahey wants to stand but Boaz is controlling the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lahey is looking to stand up but Boaz isn't so interested in that idea.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lahey can do anything to dispel that myth.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lahey has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boaz is working away from the top position though.

Boaz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've been hearing good reports from Boaz's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
