PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Albert Camus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Minobu Kurita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurita comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Game of Thrones kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Minobu Kurita is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Camus looks to land a body kick but Kurita moved away.
Kurita throws a series of punches but Camus avoids them all with ease.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kurita has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Minobu Kurita seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Camus throws a body shot but no joy.
Camus throws a lazy right hand but Kurita sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kurita on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Kurita lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Kurita raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!
