Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ajala Awe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ajala Awe will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Awe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Awe throws a shot to the body.
Awe stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Patterson swats away the attempt to clinch by Awe.
Awe stuns Patterson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Patterson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Awe pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Patterson back to the cage. Awe follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Patterson has his foot on Awe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Awe works his way back into a safe position though.

Patterson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Awe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Awe throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Patterson on the side of the head.

Awe has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Despite the aggression on Awe's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Patterson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Patterson ducks under a wild hook from Awe.
A little feinted left hand from Patterson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Patterson tries to counter by clinching up but Awe breaks away and moves out of range.

and Patterson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Patterson.
Awe digs a right hand underneath Patterson's ribcage. Patterson let out a lung full of air as it connected.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Awe.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Patterson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Awe fails in his attempt to clinch.
Patterson throws a nice looking combination but Awe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ajala Awe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Patterson looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Awe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Patterson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
