Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Casey Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cameron Glover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bowman comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - Warriors Code. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowman with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Bowman misses with a wild body shot.
We've been told by Bowman's head coaches at Abobomination Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Glover takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Bowman closes the distance and clinches up with Glover, looking for a takedown. Bowman pushes Glover against the cage but Glover circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Good leg kick by Glover there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Bowman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Glover sprawls well initially but Bowman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Bowman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Glover defends it well.
Glover has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bowman is working away from the top position though.

Glover fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bowman manages to avoid it.

As Glover looks to move away, Bowman throws a big counter combo but Glover just gets out of the way.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bowman has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Glover has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bowman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Glover moves away.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Bowman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Glover fails in his attempt to clinch.
Glover fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bowman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Bowman swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Glover.

Glover takes the fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Casey Bowman will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Glover leaves Bowman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Bowman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Glover's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
