Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Steel Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Minard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minard is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dope by T.I.. Rick Minard has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rick Minard!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Steel Penn.
Minard misses with a body shot

and Steel Penn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Minard won't be happy with that.
Minard tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Steel Penn keeps control of the position as Minard tries to break free.

Steel Penn gets back to his feet. Minard is certainly not going to complain about that decision.
Minard darts in trying to clinch
letting Steel Penn counter with a right hand.
No joy there for Minard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Minard moves in looking to clinch but Steel Penn pushes him off.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters circle momentarily. Steel Penn darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Steel Penn.
Minard misses with a takedown attempt

and Steel Penn counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Minard tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Steel Penn just stands there and leans against the cage.

Steel Penn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Minard with a poor takedown

and Steel Penn holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Mr Steel Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Minard.
Minard tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Steel Penn just stands there and leans against the cage.
Minard has a couple of punches blocked by Steel Penn.
Minard has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Steel Penn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Minard working hard to break the clinch.

Steel Penn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Minard takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Minard has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Steel Penn.
Steel Penn buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Steel Penn fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Minard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Steel Penn moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Minard takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Good leg kick by Steel Penn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Minard stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Steel Penn.
Minard tries a head kick but it misses.
Steel Penn feinted with a counter takedown.
Steel Penn scores with a jab to the jaw.
Minard chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Steel Penn can pounce on him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Minard shoots and misses

and Steel Penn counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Minard wants to control the action here but instead Steel Penn manages to pass to full mount!

Steel Penn gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
A good leg kick by Steel Penn.
Steel Penn connects with a leg kick. Minard looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Steel Penn drops Minard with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Minard looks back up at him and smiles so Steel Penn waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Minard is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Minard misses with a left hand

and Steel Penn counters by gaining double undehooks. He picks up Minard and carries him across to his own corner. OH, that's a monster slam and Minard is out cold! A brutal end to the fight and credit to Steel Penn for not following up with any more shots. He recognised that Minard was out. Good sportsmanship.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Mr Steel Penn!
A very excited looking Mr Steel Penn rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Rick Minard was interviewed post fight and said 'I always get REVENGE!!'.
